Art at school was the only subject I felt good at, having come from a family of people who have been artistic. It seemed the most natural thing to follow.
At 51, I turned to painting as a profession, sitting under many artists who have helped me along the way,
Over the years I've worked in all sorts of medium, pen and ink drawings, oil, acrylic, watercolour,
Pastels and the good old charcoal.
I love the way oil works for me best, to be able to have more than one colour on my paint brush and play without it drying too soon is fun.
I have paintings in many countries including USA, Egypt, France, Spain, Australia, Canada and more.
My other claim to fame was a few years ago when Ed Miliband, who was leader of the Labour Party, was in Stroud and came to my exhibition. He was very complimentary, and although I couldn't get him to buy one for his wife he still he signed my visitor’s book.
